We chase songs the way Alan Lomax once did—with a microphone, a camera, and an urgency to capture what might otherwise disappear. From folk festivals to front porches, hotel rooms to back alleys, we document the songwriters and traditions shaping our musical landscape right now.
Our name comes from a tangible constraint. 50 feet of Super 8 film stock, which gives you roughly three minutes of recording time. That same three-minute window became the standard song length because of the physical limits of 78 rpm records. We work within these boundaries intentionally, believing that limitations sharpen focus and preserve the raw essence of a performance.
